Joshua Kosman speaks to his experience at opening night of the 23rd annual Other Minds Festival, which included performances by Jaap Blonk and Enzo Minarelli. He describes the night by saying, “In a range of performances by “sound poets” from around the world — by turns captivating, inventive, fizzy and predictable — phonemes became sculptural elements, and words took flight from the bonds of meaning.” He also alludes to the coming events of the festival including a performance by the Executive Artistic Director of Other Minds, Charles Amirkhanian.
