Annea Lockwood Reviewed
Annea Lockwood’s work was mentioned recently in a New York Times review of a series of concerts at the Brooklyn venue Issue Project Room, by trumpeter Nate Wooley entitled For/With. Annea is developing a new trumpet piece for Mr. Wooley, so complementary pieces from her body of work were included in these recent concerts. A vocal work from 1995, I Give You Back, and the newer Bayou-Borne, for Pauline, dedicated to the late Pauline Oliveros, were both reviewed in this article which appeared in the Times on October 1.
